Scarce Baden Leib Garde metal helmet - casque à pointe métal LGR 109 badois
Très rare casque à pointe en tôle du 109ème Badois, le Leib Garde Regiment.
Plaque de la Garde badoise en maillechort. Pointe maillechort dévissable.
L'écartement des fentes de la coque correspond uniquement à une plaque LGR109.
Même si partiellement coupée, la coiffe est complète, avec sa rare feutrine en fond de bombe.
Le soldat a disposé du carton tout autour de la coiffe. Ce carton est un emballage Feldpost sur lequel se trouvent son nom Franz Schraivogel, son Corps d'Armée, le 14 AK, sa division, la 28 ID...dans lesquels se trouvent le LGR109. Il est indiqué que le soldat était au IIIe Bataillon
Le soldat Franz Schraivogel était bien présent à la 9ème Compagnie du LGR109, soit effectivement le IIIe Bataillon.
Franz a été blessé près de Péronne dans la Somme le 3 septembre 1916.
Un casque en cuir du LGR109 vaut environ 2500 euros...et on en trouve...ici, c'est un tôle !

metal helmet shell, nickel silver removable spike and Baden guard plate. the distance between the plate holes on the shell will only fit for a LGR109 plate. Liner, even partially cutted, is complete, with the scarce felt sheet in the shell.
The soldier putted cardboard under the liner. This cardboard is a Feldpost with the name of the soldier, his Army Corps and Division, which fit with the LGR109 regiment. He was in the 3rd Battalion, and we found a Franz Schraivogel in the 9th Company of the LGR109.
Franz was severely wounded in Peronne in the Somme, the 3 September 1916.
The average value of a leather helmet of the LGR109 is around 2500 euros, and you can find some....but here, it is a metal one !
